Tottenham’s hopes of landing Paulo Dybala this summer remain open after the striker’s agent denied agreeing a transfer elsewhere.
Spurs have a long standing interest in the striker, who will leave Juventus for free this summer. Daniel Levy tried to sign the 28-year-old in the summer of 2019 only for the deal to collapse of the player’s complicated image rights.
The Juve icon appeared to be on his way to north London after the two clubs agreed a £64.4m fee. But the deal collapsed over personal terms and in particular an issue regarding Dybala’s image rights, who were owned by a third-party.
Tottenham have been mentioned as suitors for Dybala again this summer with Fabio Paratici at the helm. The Italian negotiated Dybala’s move from Palermo to Turin in 2015.
But on Wednesday a number of reports claimed Inter Milan had secured a deal with Dybala.
But that talk was quickly rebuffed by Dybala’s representative, Jorge Antun.
Paulo Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun on Inter deal rumours: “I deny any kind of agreement with any club, as of today. No agreement has been reached with Italian or foreign clubs yet”. #Dybala
Inter remain interested in Paulo Dybala, of course – but the deal is not done as of now.

Antun, via Fabrizio Romano, has insisted that his client has not signed for any club.
“I deny any kind of agreement with any club, as of today. No agreement has been reached with Italian or foreign clubs yet,” he said.
As per Romano, Inter are still interested in a move for the Argentinian.
Dybala ready to kickstart int’l career
Last weekend Newcastle United apparently submitted a mega contract offer in a bid to get Dybala on board next season.
Manchester United and Arsenal are also reported to be interested in the player as they look to revamp their forward lines.
United, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport have met with Antun over a move for Dybala.
But both Premier League big guns have been left in the wake by Newcastle, according to Football Insider.
With Spurs also interested, the Dybala situation looks like being one of the transfer sagas of the summer. But he looks like a player worth waiting for and as he turns 29 in November he still has plenty to offer.
He has scored 81 goals and claimed 41 assists in 207 Serie A games for Juve. And he will be a more than useful asset to any of the clubs mentioned.
His international career has stalled in the last few years and the player will be desperate to kick on and get himself in the frame for the World Cup in Qatar.
