Chelsea’s right back situation still full of questions

Chelsea’s next move in tis transfer window is a mystery. Having secured transfers for Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly, major improvements which should improve Thomas Tuchel’s first team, it’s the next move which will decide whether this is a summer to remember or one to forget.

Another central defender? Pursuit of Jules Kounde looks fruitless now, with the France international headed to Barcelona. Presnel Kimpembe, Milan Skriniar – they’ve all been mentioned – but to what end?

The alternative could be signing a right back which allows Reece James to move to central defender – but does anyone really want that? He’s at his best flying up and down the right flank, and in fact he’s among the world’s best at it if you watch the tape. Any Chelsea fan will know.

Let’s get a solid right wing back signed up – has anyone considered the young lad at Southampton, Tino Livramento? He looks to have huge potential.
