Harry Kane latest: Fabrizio Romano paints clear picture over Bayern Munich links as Eric Dier retorts with ‘I’m not bothered’ jibe

Bayern Munich have been informed of their chances of signing Harry Kane with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealing what the likely outcome will be over the striker this summer.

The Bundesliga giants have been linked with a move for Kane as they ponder life after Robert Lewandowski. The free-scoring Poland star has departed Bavaria after eight incredible seasons, moving to Barcelona. But his departure leaves the Bayern attack with a gaping hole.

As such, their boss Julian Nagelsmann has spoken openly about his admiration for Kane. The England skipper is one of the few players in world football who could comfortably fill Lewandowski’s boots at Bayern.

However, any such deal would be tough, given the renewed optimism in the Tottenham camp. Spurs showed last summer that they won’t let Kane leave without a fight. And Daniel Levy’s insistence for a £150m fee ultimately sent Manchester City packing.

Since then, Antonio Conte has come in and helped the club return to the Champions League. And having now assembled what many feel is their strongest squad in years, there is renewed optimism that Kane may sign a new deal with Tottenham.

Furthermore, Conte has spoken out to slam Nagelsmann for making his admiration for Kane public.

“Honestly I didn’t hear this. For sure I’m a coach who doesn’t talk about players from other teams. I don’t know why [this happened],” Conte said.

“The situation at Tottenham is very clear. The plan is very clear with the club. Harry is a part of the project. He is a very important part of the project and yeah only rumours.

“At the same time I repeat I don’t like to speak about players from another club. If I want to do something I go to speak to the club, not through the media.”

Fabrizio Romano comments on Harry Kane future

Despite Conte’s comments, the Bayern Munich rumours have refused to disappear.

As such, reports are indicating they may soon test Spurs’ resolve to keep the player with a mammoth bid.

However, trusted transfer guru Fabrizio Romano is adamant that Kane will be staying at Tottenham Hotspur.

Responding to a question that Kane could move to Bayern, Romano made clear that no such move is on the cards.

“Impossible. Kane is untouchable and will play for Tottenham next season. Never been in doubt,” he tweeted.

Eric Dier with a typical Eric Dier style response to rumours

Speculation over Harry Kane has also prompted a reaction from Eric Dier.

The versatile Tottenham man is known to be someone who speaks his mind. And Dier appears completely nonplussed by suggestions Kane could depart for Bayern this summer.

In fact, Dier quickly retorted to the speculation by claiming he’s no’t bothered by what is being said about Kane.

“That’s normal. Every world class player is always going to be spoken about a lot. I don’t really care,” he told Sky Sports.

“In football you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow let alone next week. So this is not something I’m bothered about. It’s normal that world class players are spoken about.”

And it seems Dier is right not to worry. Despite their incredible run of title wins in Germany, Bayern simply do not have the pulling power or capabilities to lure Kane away.

His future looks destined to remain at Spurs, who will hope to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool this coming season.

Sunday’s Transfer Gossip, meanwhile, claims Conte is planning a blockbuster reunion with another Inter Milan star.
