Chelsea’s squad as a whole are probably delighted about the news that Kalidou Koulibaly is joining them.
The club lost a top central defender when Antonio Rudiger left at the end of last season, and Koulibaly looks the perfect person to step up and replace him.
One player who is even happier than the rest is Jorginho, who is going to be reunited with one of his dearest teammates from their time at Napoli together.
His enthusiasm about his new old teammate showed just how much he rates him, and makes us excited too:
“Oh definitely, for me it’s the best replacement,” he said when asked if Koulibaly was a good replacement for Rudiger.
“The best choice the club could have made together with the staff and the coach. I just really hope and I’m pretty sure he will be a big help to our team.”
With Rudiger’s replacement seemingly sorted, the question that remains is what will be done to replace Andreas Christensen.
Maybe Jorgi has some other friends he could try and interest in a move to Stamford Bridge?
