Memphis Depay is edging closer and closer to securing an exit from Barcelona, with a move to Italian giants Juventus on the verge of completion.
The Bianconeri have been working on a deal for the Netherlands international for some time, with talks ongoing with the forward’s camp.
Now, Italian publication Tuttosport is reporting that Depay has reached a contract agreement with Juventus over a potential move and the only thing now left to do is for Barcelona to sanction his exit by terminating his contract.
As per the terms of the agreement, the 28-year-old Dutch ace will be signing a two-year contract with an option of an additional twelve months. Depay will pocket a salary of around €5 million per year and another €1.5 million on top of that in bonuses.
Depay joined Barcelona only last summer, arriving on a Bosman deal after his contract with Olympique Lyon had run out. The Netherlands striker enjoyed a solid debut campaign but has found himself dropping down the pecking order at the club since January.
First it was the double signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres in January and now the Catalans also added Robert Lewandowski in the summer. It meant that the Dutchman had become surplus to requirements.

Depay’s contract with Barcelona expires next year and the striker has been pushing to leave the club only on a free transfer as it would allow him his pick of clubs and stand to earn a signing-on bonus.
And it now seems that Depay has chosen to join Juventus, with an agreement in place with the Bianconeri. His lawyers are reportedly working on securing his exit from Barcelona and a move could be completed in the next few days.
