Barcelona have appeared quite active in the market even after failing to sign any one of note during the January transfer window.

The Catalan entity are on the verge of sealing a deal for MLS youngster Julian Araujo while the club have been linked with moves for Eintracht Frankfurt duo Evan Ndicka and Daichi Kamada.

Recent reports suggest Barcelona are even in agreement with Ndicka over a potential move to Camp Nou in the summer, even though those claims have been refuted lately.

Nevertheless, Barcelona remain in contention to sign the Eintracht Frankfurt duo and it appears the speculations have not gotten unnoticed either.

Speaking in a media interaction, Eintracht boss Oliver Glasner has recently responded to the links, stating (h/t Fussball Transfers) “I’m always in contact with them, but so far I haven’t found out from anyone that they signed anywhere.”

Amid ongoing speculations, Glasner added that the said players are free to leave this summer if they want to. Glasner also added that he would be the first person to know if any one of the Eintracht stars desire to leave the club at the end of the season.

“If they say that they want to play somewhere else next year, then I wish and I expect that we will find out beforehand before it is written anywhere,” Glasner said.

The Eintracht Frankfurt manager, though, refused to rule out a potential exit by offering a rather coy response when asked about the fate of both these stars. “I don’t know what will come out at the end,” he said.

As things stand, Barcelona remain in contention to sign Ndicka, who is more likely to leave Frankfurt at the end of the season. But there might be competition from other clubs. As for Kamada, nothing conclusive has been revealed about his future and the club may have to play the waiting game.
