DYBALA DROPS TRANSFER HINT AMID MAN UTD TRANSFER RUMOURS

Manchester United have been given serious hope in their quest to sign Paulo Dybala this summer amid news he is free to leave on a bargain fee.

The Red Devils have made rapid strides under Erik ten Hag this season. As such, they hope to end their six-year trophy drought later this month in the Carabao Cup final.

And with a Champions League place also in their sights, plans are taking shape for ways to take United to the next level.

The Dutchman will be seeking a new frontline striker to lead the line this summer. A number of big names have been mentioned as options, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen among those linked.

However, it seems United could also be offered the chance to bring in a long-term target in Dybala for a bargain fee.

To that end, reports emerged last week how a clause in his deal allows him to leave Roma on the cheap. Indeed, should the club fail to qualify for the Champions League, a clause will allow him to depart for a mere £10.6m (€12m) this summer.

That has, understandably, attracted attention from United. And reports in the Italian media reckons a summer move to Old Trafford now looks increasingly likely.

However, should Dybala opt to stay, the clause will be waived and the player will automatically trigger a pay-rise.

Dybala opens up on future

Discussing his future and the influence Jose Mourinho will play, Dybala has opened up on claims he could be on the move.

“The clause is a matter between my attorneys and the club, but I don’t know what will happen at the end of the season. And if I don’t know what’s going to happen with me, let alone the coach, you have to ask him,” Dybala said, via Calciomercato.

“I’d like to be coached by him because he’s one of the best and I’d like to win with him too. But for now I’m only thinking about the match against Salzburg. I hope Roma play in the Champions League next season.”

As well as Dybala, Ten Hag is also bringing forward plans for two other exciting signings, per reports.

Man Utd also keen on deals for Bono and Castello Lukeba

And first on the agenda will be the exciting signing of a new goalkeeper in the form of Yassine Bounou.

The Moroccan star will be allowed to leave Sevilla with the club facing up to no European football next season.

The 31-year-old is valued at around £17.75m (€20m) – and Ten Hag wants him to sign this summer. However, rather than come in as undisputed No 1, the keeper – known simply as Bono – will have to compete with David De Gea for the No 1 shirt.

De Gea’s deal expires this summer but talks over an extension are ongoing. And he will sign up soon, but on a deal worth significantly less than his current £375,000 a week deal.

Tottenham are also keen on Bono, but Manchester United are seemingly in the driving seat.

And finally United are also pushing forward with plans to sign Lyon centre-half Castello Lukeba.

The 20-year-old is emerging as a major star in and is already first-choice for the Ligue 1 side.

And while he committed to a new deal recently, his terms expire in summer 2025.

Furthermore, Lyon are currently ninth in Ligue 1 – a huge 12 points adrift of the Champions League places. As such, United believe he can be prised away for a fee of around £30m.

And with Ten Hag a huge admirer of his qualities, United are reportedly ready to push ahead with a bid to sign Lukeba.

Victor Lindelof, Dean Henderson and Anthony Martial are among those likely to move on for the trio.
