Mason Greenwood is planning a shock move overseas should Manchester United sack him, Everton and West Ham want a Bundesliga striker, while Saturday’s Transfer Gossip claims Man City are sensing the chance to sign an Arsenal favourite.
MASON GREENWOOD TO REBUILD CAREER OVERSEAS
Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood is looking to move to the Far East should the Red Devils decide to sack him.
The 21-year-old striker’s future hangs in the balance despite seeing a number of serious criminal charges against him dropped.
United have launched an internal probe into Greenwood, who has not played for the club since January 2022. And while all criminal proceedings against him have ended, the player’s future at Old Trafford remains far from certain.
As such, Greenwood is already planning a move overseas to rebuild his career should they decide to sack him.
And having been asked to stay away for now, it’s claimed Greenwood has “begrudgingly” accepted their stance.
According to The Sun, Greenwood will look to move to China if told he is no longer a Manchester United player.
Now the paper claims that, after being suspended by the club last year, he’s already decided to leave.
A source told the paper: “At the time [of his suspension] he was adamant he didn’t want to put on the red shirt again.
“He felt like the club didn’t stand by him.
“He said he would be happy to go and play in China as long as that meant he was getting paid well and was playing.
“His view may have softened over the last few months, but he was not happy at all.”

EVERTON, WEST HAM CHASING UNION BERLIN STRIKER
West Ham and Everton will lock horns this summer to try and prise striker Sheraldo Becker from Union Berlin.
The pair reportedly made moves to recruit the Suriname international in the January window, only to be knocked back.
The capital club are second in the Bundesliga and have Champions League qualification in their sights. That would represent a huge achievement and the first time in their history they have qualified. Indeed, they only won promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in their history in 2019.
Now it seems a lot of clubs are taking notice of their players.
And 27-year-old Becker seemingly has admirers in the Premier League.
BILD’s Christian Falk told Caught Offside: “Both West Ham and Everton are interested in Sheraldo Becker. We’ve just had it confirmed that Union received a concrete offer on Monday, though it’s not immediately clear which of the two submitted it.
“Union, however, now have a chance to potentially secure Champions League football next year. They’re also still in the cup, so that’s why they were reluctant to sell Sheraldo.
“But in the summer they know they could lose him. He’s got a contract that runs until 2025. I could imagine seeing him switch to the Premier League in the summer.”
Becker has 40 goals in 264 career appearances.
ARSENAL AIM TO TIE MAN CITY TARGET BUKAYO SAKA DOWN
Arsenal are making it their urgent priority to tie down Bukayo Saka and William Saliba to new deals.
The Gunners are top of the Premier League and hoping to end their 19-year title drought this season. To maximise their chances, they brought in three new players in the January window. And while Jorginho arrived on deadline day, the club are reportedly planning blockbuster moves for two other midfielders this summer.
Plans for the summer market will begin immediately with Arsenal looking good for Champions League football.
And while they have lofty ambitions to bring new players in, they also need to tie down their current crop of young stars.
First up Arsenal have secured Gabriel Martinelli to a new deal which keeps him at Emirates Stadium until 2027.
Following him, both Saliba – a Rolls Royce of a defender – and Man City target Saka are reportedly next.
As per talkSPORT, Arsenal are making the pair’s new deals their most urgent priorities.
And with Manchester City strongly sniffing around Saka, the England star is now the club’s No 1 aim.
Saka is top Arsenal priority
Transfer expert Alex Crook gave the details to talkSPORT, saying: “Arsenal will step up new contract talks with Bukayo Saka and William Saliba after Gabriel Martinelli committed his future to the club.
“The Gunners hope to tie England star Saka and France defender Saliba to long-term deals.
“Saka has been on the radar of Manchester City but Arsenal are confident he will stay in north London.
“Brazilian Martinelli signed on until at least the summer of 2027, earning himself a hefty pay rise and becoming one of Arsenal’s top earners.”
Saka’s current deal expires in summer 2024. Saliba’s contract runs to the same period, though Arsenal do have a one-year option.
