Ansu Fati is one of the few Barcelona stars who are staring at an uncertain summer, amid reports linking him to a move away from Camp Nou.
Shortly after his father hit out at Barça for his lack of game-time, a recent report from Diario SPORT has now offered an update on Fati, notably listing down the potential destinations for the Barcelona forward.
The report suggests Manchester United would be the most likely destination for Ansu Fati if he were to leave Camp Nou in the coming summer.
The Premier League giants have been interested in the forward for a long time and have a good relationship with the player’s entourage. They are also looking to sign offensive reinforcements in the summer, so the Barcelona star would fit in well with their plans.
Recent speculation across Spain suggests that Barcelona are not too keen on selling Fati at a cut-price deal. They are expected to hold out for a hefty figure for the attacker, knowing he has the potential to help the club generate significant revenue.
As per the report, Manchester United are open to meeting Barcelona’s requirements, as long as they are under the ‘normal parameters’. Nevertheless, they remain the frontrunner in the race to sign the youngster, should he depart Barça.
That said, Man United should not undermine competition from other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle United and Arsenal.
All three of these clubs have the financial firepower to give Man United a run for their money. However, it remains to be seen whether or not the player will leave Camp Nou in the first place, as the club are yet to reach a consensus over his fate this coming summer.
