Chelsea are set to hold a meeting with Inter Milan in which they’ll discuss the future of Romelu Lukaku and the possibility of signing their goalkeeper Andre Onana.
That’s according to The Evening Standard who claims the Blues are due to start a summer overhaul which could involve the sale of the Belgian, who is happy with life playing his football in Italy.
Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter after he made the season-long switch last summer. The forward only has nine goals from 26 appearances in all competitions and struggled with injury problems, this may make it hard for him to convince the Serie A side to stay.
As for the goalkeeping situation, Chelsea are looking to find a new number one. The Evening Standard has also reported recently that they’ve contacted representatives for a number of keepers, including the aforementioned Onana.
The Cameroon stopper has played 33 times in all competitions for Inter and 15 of those games have seen him keep a clean sheet for the Serie A side.
Not only that but landing Onana would also be a strong signing, a goalkeeper is where they want to strengthen this summer and his stats have been very impressive so far in the 2022/23 campaign.
