After weeks of speculation, Chelsea have finally decided to sack manager Graham Potter.
The club had endured an abysmal run of form since Potter took over in September 2022 despite spending big on new players like Enzo Fernandez.
Chelsea currently sit in 11th having lost 10 games already this season. And it seems that the most recent defeat to Aston Villa was the final straw for the Blues board.
As club statement on the decision read: "Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition.
"In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future."
It's fair to say that Chelsea fans were happy with the decision...

While Chelsea fans rejoiced, they also thought about the future too and who could replace the former Brighton man.
As expected, they were keen on one name in particular...

I would like to see Chelsea bring in Julian Nagelsmann this summer.

He’s worked with Christopher Vivell and the Red Bull guys on the board, and has managed projects at big clubs before.

Another club without a manager, Tottenham, have also been linked with Julian Nagelsmann recently - who was sacked by Bayern at the end of March.
Now that Potter is available, however, Tottenham Twitter have turned their attentions to the former Chelsea man as the perfect man to lead their club forward:
Nagelsmann to Chelsea, Potter to Spurs. Everyone’s a winner baby https://t.co/BL3oEk4CAh
