Euro Paper Talk: Ten Hag finally finds new Man Utd striker with triple raid spelling end for £188m trio; Arsenal move for 74-goal marksman

Manchester United targets Kim Min-Jae and Lautaro Martinez

Manchester United will sacrifice three stars this summer with Erik ten Hag closing on a triple deal, including a quality new striker, Arsenal are ready to launch a move for a prolific new frontman, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk has massive news on the next Tottenham manager.

LAUTARO MARTINEZ WILL BECOME NEW MAN UTD NUMBER NINE

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has finally decided on the player he wants as his new No 9 – with a move for Lautaro Martinez reportedly gathering pace.

The Red Devils are ready to spend big on a new centre forward this summer to finally replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

And a plethora of top names are reportedly on their radar, with Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos regularly linked.

However, Ten Hag is ready to turn his focus towards Argentina striker Martinez, amid a belief that Inter Milan will be forced to sell.

The Italian giants will need to cash in on a big name this summer – and Ten Hag is plotting a route to bring Martinez to Old Trafford.

Rated at €90m, the 25-year-old has 23 goals in 49 appearances this season.

Now, according to Calciomercato, United are ready to offer Inter a package of €50m cash together with Anthony Martial.

And while the Nerazzurri would prefer a straight cash sale, they will need to sign a replacement for Martinez if they cash on.

Martial, meanwhile, cost United £58m after arriving from Monaco back in 2015. While he has 86 goals in 294 games for the club, they appear to have dried up in recent seasons.

And after a disappointing display in losing at West Ham on Sunday, two prominent pundits both claimed it was time for United to sell Martial.

Martinez to be joined at Man Utd by Kim Min-Jae and Vanderson

With a new striker seemingly decided on, Ten Hag’s next focus is a new central defender. And it seems a deal for Kim Min-jae is also beginning to gather serious pace for Manchester United.

The South Korean arrived in Naples last summer as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly. And he’s proven a massive success, helping Luciano Spalletti’s side to a first Serie A title in 33 years.

Now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, United have scouted the player extensively in recent weeks.

And with a window of opportunity presenting them with a chance to sign him, Napoli are reportedly growing increasingly concerned that Kim will be lured away.

Indeed, a clause in his deal allows him to leave for a fee that ‘exceeds €50m and can touch €60m’ between July 1-15.

Napoli are determined to tie him to a new deal that removes the clause. However, il Gazzetta claim United have identified Kim for quite some time and are now ready to follow through and sign him.

United are also in the hunt for a new right-back with much of the focus in recent weeks being on Jeremie Frimpong.

However, Sport are convinced that United’s real target is actually Monaco’s Brazilian star Vanderson. They claim the Ligue 1 side are open to his sale for the right price, alerting Ten Hag to a possible deal.

They will face competition, however, from Barcelona with incoming new sporting director Deco setting his sights on him too.

But it is United who lead the way with a €40m (£34.8m) offer likely to convince them to sell.

That double swoop will also spell the end of both Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka at United. And with Martial offered up as part of the Martinez deal, Ten Hag is seemingly set to wave farewell to £188m worth of signings this summer.
