In the hopes of clearing out their squad this summer, Barcelona will be looking to offload several players this summer; a list that includes players that do not want to leave this summer.
However, the need to raise money through sales takes priority for the Catalans. They have been given the green light by La Liga for their financial feasibility plan, but any and all signings will be followed by sales.
One of the players on their transfer agenda is Ferran Torres. The Spaniard is not a part of the club’s plans moving forward, who hope to reinforce the left wing this summer through one or both of Yannick Carrasco and Ez Abde.
Unfortunately, Barcelona are yet to find a suitor for Torres who are ready to pay a minimum of €35 million for his services, as per a report by Mundo Deportivo. The player wants to continue at the club.
Ferran joined the club in the winter of 2022 from Manchester City for nearly €55 million, and immediately cemented a starting spot in the team. Next season, though, he was demoted to the bench after the signing of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
Not to mention, Xavi preferred to use Gavi as the starting left-winger through the last season, a setup that looked like Pep Guardiola’s 3-2-2-3 with the young Spaniard drifting inside as an attacking midfielder alongside Pedri.
Further, with Ferran preferring to play as a right-winger, his output reduced significantly through the season. He ended the 2022/23 La Liga season with four goals and two assists to his name across 33 appearances.
His time at the Camp Nou could soon be coming to an end, but it remains to be seen if Barcelona find a club ready to pay their demanded price tag for the player.
