Italian giants Inter Milan are being tipped to make a move for veteran Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as they look to replace Manchester United bound Andre Onana.
The Serie A side are expected to cash in on the Cameroon international this summer as they look to balance their books, with Erik ten Hag ready to turn to Onana as David de Gea’s long-term replacement.
A fee of around €50million is being mooted for the stopper as Inter look to try and fund a permanent deal for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
Reports over the weekend suggest that Onana will be heading to England this week to complete his transfer, with the 27-year-old having already worked with Ten Hag during their time together at Ajax.
However, if Onana moves on then Inter will need a new No.1 at the San Siro – and that is where Lloris comes in.
The 36-year-old has already confirmed that he will be ending his 11-year stay in north London this summer, despite having the option of another year at Spurs.
And Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter are keen on striking a deal for the World Cup winner, who they could sign on a free transfer.
Lloris is not the only experienced keeper on their radar though, with PSG’s Keylor Navas also a target.
The Costa Rican spent the second half of last season keeping Nottingham Forest in the Premier League but, like Lloris, is expected to made available on a free.
Tottenham closing in on Lloris replacement
As for the latter, Tottenham are willing to part company with the club stalwart as they close in on Empoli stopper Guglielmo Vicario.
The Italy international is expected to have his medical imminently ahead of what could turn out to be a bargain £17m switch.
Viacrio is rated incredibly highly in Italy but will still have the challenge of adapting to the Premier League and how new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou wants his team to play.
But it appears that Viacrio signing could set off a chain reaction of events, with Lloris potentially heading to Inter to cover their loss of Onana.
