Barcelona’s €40 million attacker not thinking about exit, in great shape physically

Barcelona are looking to make one or two big sales at the earliest possible in order to generate revenue and lighten their salary mass. Franck Kessie is one of the favourites to depart, with the Catalans looking to ship him off to the Premier League.

Another candidate to be sold this summer is misfiring forward Ferran Torres. The 23-year-old has endured a difficult spell since joining Barcelona in January last year for €55 million.

With the forward under-delivering big time, the club are looking to offload him this summer. Reports suggest that Barça wish to recoup €40 million from his sale or send him out on loan for two seasons so that they can save his wages at least.

However, according to a report from SPORT’s Jordi Gil, Ferran is not thinking about leaving Barcelona at all despite the never-ending rumours surrounding his future.

The Spanish international is fully focused on proving himself to manager Xavi Hernandez and becoming an important part of the team moving forward.

Torres has started the pre-season in great shape and is one of the players with the best physical condition in the squad currently.

Someone who has always taken great care of his physicality and fitness, the 23-year-old has worked hard during the holidays to begin pre-season in optimum shape.

His current condition has not come as a surprise to the club’s staff. But they have been delighted with the shape and condition he has shown up in pre-season.

Having recovered from the stomach bug that caught the squad over the weekend, Torres is said to be in top condition and could feature against Arsenal later this week.

With rumours of an exit refusing to fade away, it will be up to him to prove himself on the pitch and secure his future at Barcelona.
