The 2023 pre-season is in full swing, and there have been some exciting games so far. Here are some of the highlights from the past week.
Manchester United 2-0 Leeds United
Manchester United kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win over Leeds United in Oslo, Norway. Jadon Sancho scored the opening goal in the 12th minute, and Anthony Martial added a second in the second half.
Chelsea 4-3 Brighton
Chelsea also got their pre-season off to a winning start with a 4-3 victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium. Kai Havertz scored a hat-trick for Chelsea, while Mason Mount added the other goal.
Arsenal 2-0 Everton
Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 in their first pre-season game under new manager Mikel Arteta. Bukayo Saka scored the opening goal in the 24th minute, and Nicolas Pepe added a second in the second half.
Tottenham Hotspur 6-3 Roma
Tottenham Hotspur put on a show in their pre-season friendly against Roma, winning 6-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for Spurs, while Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn also got on the scoresheet.
Liverpool 4-0 Manchester City
Liverpool got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start with a 4-0 victory over Manchester City in Thailand. Mohamed Salah scored twice, while Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino also got on the scoresheet.
Barcelona 6-0 Inter Milan
Barcelona put on a dominant display in their pre-season friendly against Inter Milan, winning 6-0 at the Camp Nou. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick, while Memphis Depay, Ferran Torres, and Ousmane Dembele also got on the scoresheet.
Real Madrid 5-0 Arsenal
Real Madrid recorded a comfortable victory over Arsenal in their pre-season friendly at the Emirates Stadium. Karim Benzema scored twice, while Marco Asensio, Rodrygo Goes, and Eden Hazard also got on the scoresheet.
Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 Bayern Munich
Paris Saint-Germain defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in their pre-season friendly at the Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar scored the goals for PSG.
