The reliable Javi Miguel has made a massive revelation that young Barcelona forward Ansu Fati could follow Ousmane Dembele out of the team this summer as part of Blaugrana’s attempt to sign Bernardo Silva, Juan Foyth and Vitor Roque this summer.
Despite getting on track slowly and steadily in terms of finances, Barcelona are still dreaming big so much so that they would require more than €100 million to land Bernardo and Foyth this summer.
So if Fati follows Dembele out of the club, it would allow them to generate a decent income and go after the targets.
What is Barcelona’s plan?
It is no secret that Barcelona plan to reinforce midfield and the right-back spot.
For that, despite acquiring Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu, they are chasing what seems like an impossible dream in Bernardo.
Barcelona have been put on high alert after knowing that the Portuguese is close to signing an extension with Man City.
After waiting for Barcelona to come up with an offer, the 28-year-old has decided to stay put after all.
So as part of their desperate attempt to sign him this summer, Ansu Fati could be sold.
As far as Foyth is concerned, the World Cup winner is being looked upon as a rather technical acquisition.
As reported before, Barcelona plan to add a more defensively inclined right-back mostly because they already have an attacking profile on the left in the form of Alejandro Balde.
However, any move to Foyth will go right up €54.6 million as this is the figure that Villarreal have told Barcelona to.
This amount happens to be Foyth’s termination clause and despite appreciating Barcelona’s interest, he has no mood to ask Villarreal for the transfer.
What’s with Vitor Roque?
Now, Roque is already a Barcelona player, but the young Brazilian will only arrive next year, as quoted in his contract.
However, with Dembele gone and Fati on his way out as well, Barcelona will need attacking reinforcement and it might come in the form of Roque.
But Barcelona will have to go through a series of approvals to get him at the club this summer mostly because his current team, Athletico Paranaense, will not want to lose him midway through Copa Libertadores.
