With Barcelona ready to step up their efforts to try and sign Manchester City superstar Bernardo Silva this summer, more and more details of the planned operation are starting to emerge.
Earlier today, reports emerged claiming that the Catalans were preparing an offer worth €65 million plus €10 million in easy variables for the Portuguese international.
Building on that, Gerard Romero’s Jijantes FC has now shed light on the potential contract that would be handed to Silva should he make the switch to Barcelona.
Bernardo is Xavi’s priority target
As has been reported by multiple reliable sources already, Bernardo Silva is Xavi’s priority target at this point heading into the new season.
The Catalan club’s manager is a huge admirer of the Portuguese midfielder and wants to sign him in order to boost the overall quality of the squad, so that they can go the distance in the UEFA Champions League.
And, serious efforts are now being made to try and achieve the target of signing Silva this summer.
Barcelona’s contract offer for Silva
As per the report, Barcelona believe that they can go ahead with one more big operation before the transfer window closes and all signs point towards them making a serious effort for Silva.
It is claimed that the Blaugrana would be prepared to hand him the second spot on the club’s new salary scale behind superstar Robert Lewandowski.
The deal offered to the 28-year-old Portuguese international would be worth around €10-11 million (net) and will run for three years with an option for an additional twelve months.
Ousmane Dembele and Franck Kessie will soon be departing and the sales of Sergino Dest and Clement Lenglet are also on the cards.
That, coupled with the income from the sale of the 16% stake in Barça Studios, could create enough room for the club to sign and register Silva, along with the other stars that are still unregistered.
