Crystal palace have spoken to Manchester United about the possibility of bringing in goalkeeper Dean Henderson, sources have confirmed to 90min.
The England international returned to Old Trafford this summer following the expiration of his loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
He suffered a season-ending injury in January, with Forest turning to the loan market again to recruit PSG stopper Keylor Navas for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign.
Forest had held talks with Man Utd over the permanent signing of Henderson but they could not come to an agreement over a transfer fee, with Steve Cooper's side instead turning to Matt Turner of Arsenal in recent weeks.
90min reported earlier this week that Henderson is likely to stay put this summer and serve as an understudy to Man Utd's new starting goalkeeper Andre Onana, despite previously voicing reservations over such a role.
However, he could yet be handed a route out of Old Trafford. 90min understands that Crystal Palace are looking to sign a new goalkeeper and are eyeing Henderson.
Vicente Guaita, who is determined to leave the Eagles and has not been involved with their first-team preparations throughout the summer, will have an exit sanctioned and Palace would like to fin a suitable replacement. Sam Johnstone is currently their first-choice goalkeeper.
A major stumbling block in their pursuit of Henderson is his current Man Utd contract, which still has two years to run. After penning a bumper new deal in 2020, the 26-year-old is now on £100,000-a-week wages.
Palace do have other goalkeeper targets in mind and could move on from Henderson prior to the transfer deadline.
