Manchester City have reportedly offered Erling Haaland a bumper contract which will see him become the club’s top earner by some distance. 

The striker scored a superb hat-trick against Fulham on Saturday to take his goal tally to six goals in four Premier League games so far this season.

Haaland netted a record-breaking 36 goals in the PL last season, as well as 16 in other competitions, helping Man City to clinch a historic treble.

At the age of 23, the Norway international could still get even better and it seems that Pep Guardiola is desperate to keep hold of him so he can dominate English football for the foreseeable future.

Haaland has been linked with moves away from the Etihad, although any exit would not be for a few years.

As previously reported by TEAMtalk, illustrious suitors like Real Madrid will always be keeping tabs on his availability. Saudi Arabian clubs are also interested in signing him.

Reports now suggest that Man City are doing everything they can to keep the striker for the long term, with his current deal set to expire in 2027.

Man City prepare huge contract offer for Haaland

According to the Daily Star, Man City are preparing to offer Haaland a new wage of £600,000 per week to secure his services beyond his current four-year deal.

The Norwegian currently earns £375,000 per week, making him the Cityzens joint-top earner alongside Kevin de Bruyne.

The new deal would not only make him Man City’s highest earner but also give him the most lucrative contract in Premier League history.

With that in mind, it will be interesting to see if Haaland will accept the new deal offered by Man City. If he turns the offer down, it will shed light on whether he wants to join another team like Real Madrid in the future.

If he signs, the LaLiga giants will find it incredibly difficult to offer him better terms than the Cityzens.
