While the transfer window has shut in Europe’s major leagues, teams in several countries around the world are still working on potential deals.
Teams in England, Spain, France, Germany and Italy can still sell their players this summer but they won’t be able to sign a replacement.
Using data from transfermarkt, we’ve taken a look at the transfer windows that are still open and when they close.
We’ve also looked at which high-profile players could move clubs this month.
Saudi Arabia
When does the Saudi Arabian transfer window close?
While the Saudi Pro League transfer window was originally scheduled to close on September 20th, it was brought forward at the request of the Saudi Football Federation and it will now shut on September 7th.
But a lot of Premier League managers – including Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta – believe the Saudi transfer window should be brought into line with their deadline.
“No,” Arteta said when asked if he thought it was fair that Saudi sides could do business beyond the Premier League deadline. “Because they are now a competitor, I think we have to change that.”
Who have been the biggest Saudi Pro League signings this summer?
The rise of the Saudi Pro League has been one of the biggest footballing stories in 2023 as their clubs have brought in a number of players from Europe.
Aymeric Laporte, Alex Telles, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, Sadio Mane and Otavio have all joined Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
Al-Hilal have spent more than any other Saudi Arabian club in the summer of 2023, investing a combined €341.6million on Neymar, Malcom, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Kalidou Koulibaly and Yassine Bounou.
The reigning Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Ittihad have strengthened their squad by signing Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Fabinho and Jota.
Edouard Mendy, Roger Ibanez, Merih Demiral, Franck Kessié, Gabri Veiga, Riyad Mahrez, Allan Saint-Maximin and Roberto Firmino have all joined Al-Ahli.
Al Ettifaq, who are managed by Steven Gerrard, have signed Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jack Hendry and Moussa Dembélé.
Al-Shabab spent a combined €33million on former Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo and former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco.

Which players could still move to Saudi Arabia?
Al-Ittihad tried to sign Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in August and their proposal included an initial £100million fee, with the deal potentially rising to £150million with add-ons.
While that bid was rejected, Al-Ittihad are reportedly preparing to make a world-record £215million bid for the Egypt international.
According to reports, they also want a new centre-back and have registered an interest in Gabriel Magalhaes, Raphael Varane, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly been offered a three-year contract worth €100million plus bonuses by Al-Ahli, who have also been linked with Marco Verratti and Rodrigo de Paul.
Everton winger Demarai Gray, who came close to joining Al Shabab earlier in the window, is now attracting interest from Al-Ettifaq.
Turkey
When does the Turkish transfer window close?
The 20 teams in the Turkish Super Lig can continue to sign players until their transfer window shuts on September 15th.
Who have been the biggest Turkish Super Lig signings this summer?
Galatasaray have built an impressive front three this summer, turning Mauro Icardi’s loan move into a permanent deal before signing Tete and Wilfried Zaha on free transfers.
Former Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez recently completed a €9.5million move to Galatasaray, who have also signed Tanguy Ndombele, Hakim Ziyech and Angelino on season-long loan deals.
Fenerbahce have been the biggest spenders in the Turkish Super Lig, spending around €50million on Cengiz Under, Fred, Sebastian Szymanski, Dominik Livakovic and Rodrigo Becao.
Besiktas bought Arthur Masuaku from West Ham United and have also signed Eric Bailly, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Amartey and Ante Rebic on free transfers.
Bailly and Fred aren’t the only former Manchester United players that have moved to Turkey as Nani has joined Adana Demirspor on a free transfer.

Which players could still move to the Turkish Super Lig?
Galatasaray are reportedly in talks with Manchester United about signing midfielder Donny van de Beek on a season-long loan deal.
According to Ajansspor journalist Arda Birben, Fenerbahce are eyeing a move for Jorginho and could submit an offer of around £17million to Arsenal in the coming days.
They are also considering Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City, Rade Krunic from AC Milan and Guido Rodriguez from Real Betis.
Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have both been linked with Malang Sarr, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea.
Greece
When does the Greek transfer window close?
The transfer window in Greece does not close until September 11th.
Who have been the biggest Super League Greece 1 signings this summer?
Olympiacos dipped into the free-agent market this summer, signing Vicente Iborra, Quini and former Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic.
They also signed Gustavo Scarpa and Omar Richards from Nottingham Forest on season-long loan deals before bringing Daniel Podence back to the club for a second spell.
Panathinaikos’ biggest deals of the summer so far saw them sign Tonny Vilhena from Espanyol and Willian Arao from Fenerbahce.
AEK Athens have bought two players from Spain, signing former Celta Vigo midfielder Orbelín Pineda and former Elche forward Ezequiel Ponce.
PAOK FC signed former Chelsea defender Baba Rahman on a free transfer and they also bought William Troost-Ekong from Watford in a €1million deal.

Which players could still move to Super League Greece 1?
Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos are both owned by Evangelos Marinakis and the Greek side are reportedly looking to sign midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate and full-back Giulian Biancone.
According to ESPN’s James Olley, Olympiacos have recently expressed their interest in Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares.
Fabrizio Romano claims that AEK Athens are keen on signing George Baldock and have held talks with Sheffield United.
