Although we're just three months into the 2023/24 season, a number of Premier League stars have already scored a rather remarkable number of goals.

One such player is obviously Erling Haaland, who continues to score at a ridiculous rate for Manchester City, but there's plenty of others who are also doing the business in the final third for their respective clubs.

Here are the top ten players with the most goal contributions - goals and assists combined - so far this season.

10. Julian Alvarez (Manchester City)

Goals: 4
Assists: 4
Total goal contributions: 8

Having transitioned into an attacking midfield role in search of regular gametime, Julian Alvarez has been one of Manchester City's best performers so far this season.

The Argentine has been a consistent contributor in the final third throughout the early months of the 2023/24 campaign, racking up four goals and four assists in the Premier League.

9. James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur)

Goals: 3
Assists: 5
Total goal contributions: 8

James Maddison for £40m from Leicester City is probably the best bit of business Tottenham have done in recent times.

The England international has been utterly exceptional for his new side, being their chief creator as Spurs launched an unlikely early title challenge in the early months of the season - a title challenge which may completely deteriorate now he's out injured.

8. Darwin Nunez (Liverpool)

Goals: 4
Assists: 4
Goal contributions: 8

The man, the myth, the agent of chaos. It's fair to say Darwin Nunez is the most unpredictable footballer in the Premier League right now.

One minute he'll score an overhead kick, the next he'll hit the crossbar from half a centimetre out. Luckily for Liverpool this season, however, he's come closer to doing the former more often than not, chipping in with an impressive eight goal contributions in the league.

7. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Goals: 4
Assists: 4
Total goal contributions: 8

Rather remarkably, this is the second consecutive season Bukayo Saka has scored four goals and assisted another four for his teammates in his first 11 games.

During 2022/23 he finished up with 25 contributions in total and he's expected to hit similar numbers this time around.

6. Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)

Goals: 6
Assists: 2
Total goal contributions: 8

Thanks to Bryan Mbeumo, Brentford have rather amazingly not missed Ivan Toney too much at the start of the 2023/24 season.

Mbeumo has chipped in with six goals to ensure the Bees are as potent as ever in front of goal.

5. Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United)

Goals: 8
Assists: 1
Total goal contributions: 9

Jarrod Bowen has looked like a new man ever since he scored the most important goal in West Ham's recent history in the UEFA Europa Conference League final.

Once a direct and tricky winger, Bowen is now a deadly marksman for David Moyes' side, even playing up front recently for the Hammers.

4. Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur)

Goals: 8
Assists: 1
Total goal contributions: 9

Tasked with becoming Tottenham's star man after Harry Kane's departure, Son Heung-min has more than risen to the challenge.

His eight goals this season have come at crucial times for his team, with his brace against Arsenal being the highlight of his 2023/24 campaign so far.

3. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

Goals: 6
Assists: 5
Total goal contributions: 11

Having been one of the Premier League's most in-form players at the tail-end of the 2022/23 campaign - scoring 12 goals in the second half of the season - Ollie Watkins has continued to impress in the first few months of 2023/24.

His six goals and five assists have helped make Aston Villa one of the better teams in England's top flight.

2. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Goals: 10

Total goal contributions: 14

A top ten Premier League footballer of all time already, Mohamed Salah is cementing his legacy as a true great with his performances this season.

Salah's 14 goal contributions have made Liverpool genuine title contenders once again.

1. Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Goals: 13
Assists: 3
Total goal contributions: 16

A Ballon d'Or runner-up and the best number nine in the world right now, Erling Haaland is - as per - banging in the goals so far this season.

Don't be surprised to see him break his own single-season goalscoring record by the end of the current campaign.
