Less than a month after making his first-team debut for Barcelona and marking the occasion with a match-winning goal, La Masia gem Marc Guiu is at it again, this time for the Spain Under-17 national team at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
The 17-year-old striker came on off the bench and fired Barcelona to a 1-0 win over Athletic Club last month and also featured against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League before taking off for the Under-17 World Cup.
Earlier today, in Spain’s opening match of the tournament against Canada, Guiu found the back of the net to open the scoring for La Rojitas in Indonesia.
Getting on the end of a fine cross from the left flank delivered by Pablo Lopez, Guiu fired a bullet header past the Canada goalkeeper to put his team in the lead.

Guiu is one of eight Barça starlets in the Spain Under-17 roster currently along with Pau Cubarsi, Pau Prim, Hector Fort, Quim Junyent, Juan Hernández Torres, Andres Cuenca, and Marc Bernal.
Of these seven, five youngsters started against Canada today with Cuenca and Bernal missing out. And Guiu has already made an impact on the proceedings.
