Barcelona set date for official presentation of their latest addition to the squad

Six months after Barcelona secured the signing of Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense, the striker is all set to arrive in Catalonia.

The Blaugrana signed Roque in the summer window in a deal worth €30 million plus another €31 million in add-ons, with the striker signing a long-term contract until 2031.

However, his arrival was pushed forward until 2024 with the Catalans having had to deal with Financial Fair Play woes.

But with the team’s attacking problems growing, Barcelona decided to bring Roque’s arrival forward to January 2024 instead of waiting until the summer.

Date set for Roque’s presentation

Now, Roger Torello of Mundo Deportivo, the schedule for Vitor Roque’s arrival at Barcelona and his official presentation as a Barça player has been mapped out.

As per the report, the 18-year-old centre-forward will be arriving in Catalonia on December 27 after Christmas.

The teenage centre-forward will then participate in his first training session with his new teammates on December 29, once Xavi and the squad return from their mid-season break holiday.

The idea is then for Roque to be presented officially as a Barcelona player on January 3, so that he is ready for his debut against Las Palmas a day later away at Gran Canaria.

In between all that, the 18-year-old will get a first chance to interact with Barça supporters during the club’s open training session on December 30. He will also visit the Barcelona hospitals with his teammates on January 2 as per tradition.

If everything goes according to plans, fans will be able to see Roque in a Blaugrana shirt against Las Palmas on January 4.
