There has been a lot of buzz and excitement generated at Barcelona following the arrival of Vitor Roque last week.
The teenage Brazilian striker has finally landed at the club and joined up with his new teammates six months after his signing from Athletico Paranaense was sealed.
Even though he is just 18, there are a lot of expectations riding on Roque, especially with Barcelona’s attacking unit not performing at its best before the mid-season break.
Roque handed #19 shirt
Earlier in the day, Barcelona officially confirmed the shirt number that Vitor Roque will be donning for the second half of the season.
The young centre-forward will be wearing the No. 19 kit which had been left vacant following the departure of Franck Kessie in the summer.

The No. 19 has previously been worn by Ferran Torres and Sergio Aguero, during his short stint with Barcelona. Meanwhile, the legendary Lionel Messi also had the shirt for a couple of years during the early parts of his stint at Barça.
Now, Roque will be hoping to create his own legacy with the No. 19 shirt and make it his own in the weeks and months to come.
Having trained with the team in the past few days, the teenager could be ready for his debut i tomorrow’s game against Las Palmas.
However, with some issues popping up with his registration, it remains to be seen if he is named in the squad or not.
