As was reported last weekend, superagent Pini Zahavi was spotted with Barcelona president Joan Laporta at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday during the 4-0 win over Getafe.
Zahavi happens to be the agent of Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, but also the newly-appointed representative of Hansi Flick, a managerial target for the Blaugrana.
Hansi Flick has offered himself through Zahavi
Now, Mundo Deportivo has brought about details about Zahavi’s visit to Barcelona and his meeting with Joan Laporta.
Zahavi spent several days in Barcelona and ended his stay by witnessing Xavi Hernandez’s side’s thrashing Getafe. Before that, as MD has been able to find out, he took advantage of his stay in Catalonia to have several meetings and met with Laporta.
The idea of the Israeli agent, who also represents Thomas Tuchel, is to prioritise the figure of Flick. The former Germany coach has not had an agent until now, only a lawyer who dealt with the most bureaucratic part of the negotiations.
But this time, knowing the good relationship that Zahavi has with Laporta, the 58-year-old bet everything on the Israeli’s card. Essentially, Flick has offered himself to Barça through the agent.
At the moment, the former Germany coach is still without a team and would be very happy to take charge of Barcelona from next season onwards. That is why Zahavi has set to work to pull his strings to satisfy his client’s desire.
