Barcelona forward’s agent aims dig at Xavi and hints to permanent exit

Vitor Roque’s agent Andre Cury has sent a subtle warning to Barcelona, saying that if his client leaves Barcelona in the summer, it will be on a permanent transfer and not on a loan.

Since signing for Barcelona in January, the Brazil forward has struggled for game time, having seen a mere 138 minutes of action in the league across 11 games while scoring two goals.

Speaking in an interview, Cury talked about the striker’s lack of game time, adding that no one understands why he is not being picked.

He also mentioned that Xavi has never spoken to the forward and there have been many games where he should have played, but he did not.

“He will not leave on loan. If he leaves, it will be on a permanent transfer,” said Cury as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“No one understands why Xavi doesn’t play him and doesn’t even speak to Vitor. There have been many games in which he could have given him minutes and he hasn’t.

“I don’t understand. It is not right, we will discuss his future with Barça soon,” he added.

Why is Roque not interested in a loan?

Cury said that he and his client are not interested in any kind of loan deal as this is likely to harm the player’s progress.

He explained, “If the club does not give space to Vitor, unfortunately, we will have to talk to the club to find a solution.

“A loan for a young boy ends up harming him because he goes to another club that does not own him and has no interest in taking care of him. This is very dangerous for the boy’s career.”

As of today, Roque has absolutely no idea what is going on with him at Barcelona. It is suggested that the player is both confused and depressed with his new life in Catalonia.

Within his inner circle, they say that there is a lack of communication between the player and the coaching staff which happens to be another reason why he has not adapted well yet.
