Bayern Munich winger could enter player-plus-cash deal for Barcelona captain

After being officially confirmed as the next coach for FC Barcelona, Hansi Flick has already started building the squad for the season ahead.

The former Bayern Munich manager, using his vast knowledge of German football, is likely to recommend many new targets for Barcelona in the coming summer.

Flick might even look to raid his former club Bayern Munich, in an attempt to reinforce the ranks at Barça.

Bayern is ready to sell Coman

To that end, Barcelona have been dealt with a massive boost, with Bayern Munich reportedly keen on selling Kingsley Coman.

This has been reported by L’Equipe (h/t SPORT), which suggests that Bayern are looking for a mass renovation to their squad this summer and one of the players who could leave is Coman.

In light of his uncertain future in Bavaria, Coman could become a serious option for Barcelona this summer.

The Frenchman shares an excellent relationship with Hansi Flick and was a key figure during the German’s reign, notably scoring in the 2020 Champions League final.

Can Barcelona afford Coman?

The report has highlighted certain possibilities for Barcelona, as far as the Kingsley Coman pursuit is concerned.

The Bayern Munich winger is rated at around €50 million, which is quite significant for Barcelona at the moment.

However, the Catalans could be open to a swap deal involving Ronald Araujo, who is a target for Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians, in that case, would have to offer Coman along with a sum of money in order to facilitate the transfer.

Another option for Barcelona is to get rid of an existing star. Raphinha, to that end, emerges as one of the potential candidates as the Brazilian still has an excellent market in England.

Barcelona can use the sale to fund a move for Coman, who at just 27, still has much to offer and could succeed at Camp Nou.
