La Masia star will do ‘everything’ to return to FC Barcelona – report

According to journalist Roger Torello’s report in Mundo Deportivo, RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simon is determined to return to Barcelona this summer and for that, he is willing to do everything in his power.

Simons had a successful season with Leipzig and has become an important player for Roland Koeman in the Netherlands national team.

Now, he wants to take the next step in his career. Even though he is currently owned by Paris Saint-Germain, Simons knows that Barcelona are interested in him.

Now, he is determined to do whatever it takes to go back to the club where he grew up and developed as a player.

PSG tight-lipped over Simons’ future

Recently, when PSG manager Luis Enrique was asked about the possibility of Simons returning from his loan at Leipzig, he didn’t say much.

“I make it a rule not to talk about players who are not at the club right now. He’s out, he’s a loan player. I maintain my position,” said Enrique.

This lack of enthusiasm from the coach, who had previously ruled out Simons returning last summer, strengthens Simons’ desire to move to Barcelona.

Simons wants to join Barcelona

As reported before, Simons has a clause in his contract that allows him to decide his future if PSG decide not to keep him. And his choice is clear: he wants to join Barcelona, and he will let PSG know about his decision soon.

In essence, Xavi Simons, who has been playing well for Leipzig and the Netherlands, wants to go back to Barcelona, where he started his career.

Even though he’s currently with PSG, he is determined to make the move happen. PSG’s coach did not seem too excited about keeping him, which makes Simons even more eager to join Barcelona.

He has a clause in his contract that lets him choose where he goes if PSG decide to let him leave, and he is set on Barcelona.
