Six potential transfer operations and only one untouchable at FC Barcelona

Xavi Hernandez’s decision to continue as the Barcelona head coach will significantly impact the club’s preparation for the season ahead.

However, keeping Barcelona’s economic distress in mind, there might be multiple exits in the coming summer, as the club look to stabilise its balance sheets.

In fact, Barcelona have scaled up their plans to trim the squad heading into the summer, meaning there could more departures and fewer retentions.

Lamine Yamal: The only permanent member at Barça

In light of Barcelona’s squad planning for next season, Diario SPORT has issued a shocking update.

The report suggests Barcelona have identified Lamine Yamal as the only permanent player in the team. That means he is the only player whose exit will not be considered in the coming summer.

This comes on the back of Yamal’s stellar performances in both La Liga and Champions League. He is, after all, Barcelona’s best chance creator in the final third.

Barça’s six ongoing operations

While Yamal is not going anywhere, Barcelona are facing a sticky situation in regard to six of their star players.

Raphinha has changed perception with his recent performances, particularly in the UCL knockout stages. Barcelona, nevertheless, remain open to a sale, though they are not expected to listen to offers below the €80 million mark.

Joao Felix, meanwhile, is not a priority for Xavi right now. His contract at Camp Nou expires at the end of the season and everything suggests Barcelona won’t make much of an effort to retain his services.

Another attacker facing an uncertain future is Ferran Torres. The forward is the club’s second-highest scorer but is on the radar of Atletico Madrid.

Ferran has no desire to leave Camp Nou, though and Barcelona, too, are unlikely to entertain an exit unless a good offer comes.

Moving on, Ansu Fati looks destined to leave following a disappointing loan spell at Brighton. Barcelona, in fact, consider his exit vital in their attempt to balance the books.

As for Vitor Roque, a decision has been made in regard to his future. He will have to go out on loan this summer in order to prove himself at the highest level of football.

Roque has no shortage of suitors either, with multiple Spanish clubs keen on signing him on a loan deal.

Finally, SPORT has issued an update on Marc Guiu, who appears to be a ‘special case’ at Barcelona. The youngster made a solid impression during the first half of the season but hasn’t had much opportunities since.

Guiu, for his part, wants to continue at Barcelona and avoid any loan offers. The final decision regarding his future will be made by Xavi Hernandez, as he looks to carefully assess his attacking options heading into the new season.

Another key factor in dictating the future of these attackers is who Barcelona sign in the coming summer, with the club being heavily linked with moves for Dani Olmo and Bernardo Silva, among others. The coming months, therefore, could be an important one for Barcelona.
