- West Ham head into the 2024/25 season under a new manager
- David Moyes replaced by Julen Lopetegui at London Stadium
- Hammers expected to be busy in the transfer market
The 2024/25 season signals the start of a new era for West Ham United, with the east London outfit under new management.
David Moyes' successful but divisive reign as Hammers boss has come to an end, with Spaniard Julen Lopetegui - formerly of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Real Madrid and Spain - replacing the 61-year-old. Exciting times may well lie ahead for the capital side.
Lopetegui is expected to be backed in his first summer at the London Stadium, with West Ham having already acquired some new talent. Several first-teamers have departed too, meaning there may be significant changes in terms of squad numbers next season.
Here are the West Ham squad numbers for the 2024/25 campaign.
West Ham squad numbers 2024/25
West Ham are yet to confirm their numbers for the 2024/25 season but there shouldn't be too many alterations among the existing players. One who could make a switch is Jarrod Bowen, who is currently number 20, with the England international having said he would consider changing to number 10. Lucas Paqueta could vacate that number this summer if he leaves or receives a ban over betting offences.
Flynn Downes has returned from his loan spell at Southampton and will reclaim his number 12 jersey if he stays put at the London Stadium.

West Ham squad numbers available to new signings
West Ham have added a couple of fresh faces to their squad, although they are yet to receive numbers. Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme have been the big signings, with the former likely to take the number two or six that are currently vacant.
Any midfield additions will be eyeing up the number eight, while a new forward could be handed the number 11 jersey. Could Guilherme don that shirt despite being just 18 years old?

What numbers can Premier League players wear?
Premier League players have a whole host of choices when it comes to selecting what number shirt to wear, with any number between one and 99 acceptable. Having said that, players generally tend to opt for numbers between one and 40.
The number one jersey is always reserved for a goalkeeper, while players' positions elsewhere on the pitch usually dictate what number they wear. For example, defenders tend to be between two and six, midfielders love the number eight and strikers are normally number nine.
Can Premier League players change squad number?
Premier League clubs must submit a full list of their first-team squad at the beginning of every season, which includes what number they will wear for the upcoming campaign. That registration normally takes place shortly after the summer transfer window in early September.
Up until that point, players are able to change numbers freely. They don't get the opportunity to do so again until the January transfer window, but even then they are unable to swap numbers with a teammate. They must choose a number that is vacant at the club they play for.
