- Bayern Munich and Tottenham clash in South Korea this Saturday
- Spurs have played five 2024/25 pre-season friendlies already - winning all of them
- German giants have named a strong squad for their journey to Asia
Tottenham Hotspur have been busy bees during pre-season and continue their 2024/25 preparations with a friendly against Bayern Munich in South Korea this Saturday.
The Lilywhites have already played five friendlies this summer and maintained a perfect record to date, starting with convincing wins over Cambridge United, Hearts and Queens Park Rangers in the United Kingdom. Since then, Spurs have jetted off to Asia for a pre-season tour and bounced between Japan and South Korea.
Narrow and high-scoring victories over Vissel Kobe and K-League All Stars mean their unbeaten record is still intact, although it will be tested fiercely by Bundesliga giants Bayern this weekend.
Now under the guidance of former Burnley boss Vincent Kompany, Bayern have played just two friendlies so far. The first was a 14-1 (yes, fourteen) hammering of FC Rottach-Egern in which Mathys Tel bagged a hat-trick for a youthful side, followed by a frustrating 1-1 draw with Regionalliga outfit 1. FC Duren.
After their upcoming friendly this weekend, Bayern will face Tottenham again a week later in north London, with Harry Kane and Eric Dier returning to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since their recent exits.

Bayern Munich team news
Kompany is taking a strong squad to South Korea even if not all of his first-team players are available. Former Spurs star Harry Kane is still recovering from Euro 2024 and a number of other Bayern stars are injured, including Leroy Sane, Raphael Guerreiro and new signing Hiroki Ito.
Kim Min-jae will get a warm welcome as he returns to South Korea and new recruit Joao Palhinha should get his first minutes in a Bayern shirt following his lucrative move from Fulham. Eric Dier will make an appearance against his old side, too.

Tottenham team news
Son Heung-min, much like Bayern's Kim, will be the centre of attention in his home country and should be joined by Dejan Kulusevski in the final third, with the Swede having played through the middle in pre-season.
A lack of obvious centre-back options means Radu Dragusin is likely to partner Ben Davies, while youngster Jamie Donley could continue at left-back. Young newcomers Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall have impressed in pre-season, as has academy starlet Mikey Moore.
Richarlison is struggling with a calf issue at present and is unlikely to feature against Die Roten.

Bayern Munich vs Tottenham score prediction
Tottenham have enjoyed some high-energy and goal-laden friendlies to date and Saturday's clash should prove no different. Dynamite in attack but porous at the back, Spurs are likely to score and concede a few in Seoul.
They are much deeper into their pre-season preparations than Bayern, though. This may offer them a physical advantage as the Bavarian side aim to get up to match speed, but a menacing squad full of superstars should earn Kompany another victory.
