Barcelona have announced their starting XI which will take on Real Valladolid, in the club’s fourth league match this season.
Determined to maintain a 100% winning record in La Liga, coach Hansi Flick has opted for a largely unchanged defensive unit, with the only change being Alejandro Balde replacing Gerard Martin at left-back.
There is a forced change in midfield as well, with Marc Casado replacing the injured Marc Bernal in the defensive midfield position.
Should Casado fail to deliver, Flick might want to try his luck with Eric Garcia, who is available on the bench after being cleared fit to participate in this game.
Ferran Torres, meanwhile, returns to the bench to make way for new signing Dani Olmo, who enjoyed a dream debut against Rayo Vallecano.
Dani is set to operate as a number ten, forming Barcelona’s creative trifecta alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, as they look to provide support to lone frontman Robert Lewandowski.
