Real Madrid veteran full of praise for ‘incredible’ Barcelona wonderkid

FC Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has enjoyed a meteoric rise in stardom over the past year or so.

The 17-year-old sensation has gone from being a youth prospect from La Masia to one of the best young wingers in the game, making a difference on the pitch for Barcelona as well as the Spanish national team.

Yamal was one of the top players for Spain during their UEFA Euro 2024 triumph this past summer and was even named the Best Young Player of the Tournament.

Dani Carvajal heaps praises on Lamine Yamal

Real Madrid veteran right-back Dani Carvajal struck up a solid partnership with Lamine Yamal with the Spain team during the Euros.

The pair are set to resume their partnership during the ongoing international break as La Roja play two matches in the UEFA Nations League.

Leading up to it, Carvajal, during an interview with The Athletic, praised Yamal, claiming what the youngster is doing at his age is ‘incredible’.

“It seems incredible at Yamal’s age (he turned 17 in July) that he is already in the elite, at a club like Barcelona and with the national team,” said Carvajal of the Barcelona teenager.

“He has adapted very well to the group. He is still a kid (laughs), so you have to keep your feet on the ground — but he’s a great kid,” the Real Madrid defender added.

This is not the first time that Carvajal has spoken highly of Yamal, having praised him in the buildup to and during the Euros earlier this summer.

It is clear that the Real Madrid veteran rates the Barcelona prodigy very highly, irrespective of the fierce rivalry between the two clubs.
