Barcelona secured their seventh win in La Liga on the bounce as they beat Getafe 1-0 at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys last night.
Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal of the game on the night while the likes of Jules Kounde and Lamine Yamal once again excelled on the pitch.
Following the game, though, there was some concern generated within the Barça camp as Yamal was spotted limping off the pitch after the final whistle.
Given how important a player he is to the team, an injury to the 17-year-old would have been a huge blow.
Nothing serious
However, much to the relief of Barcelona fans, Adria Albets reports that there is no injury to Yamal and that the issue is nothing serious.
While Yamal was indeed limping while leaving the pitch after the game, the youngster had suffered a bruise on his ankle. He is understood to be completely fine and there is no fear of any injury as such.
This comes as a big relief considering the number of injuries Barcelona have already had to face in the current season.
Yamal, for his part, has been in fine form this season and has been one of the main driving forces behind the Catalans’ exceptional run of form.
However, given how he has been playing consistently without a break, Hansi Flick must consider handing him a break in the upcoming games and manage his workload carefully.
Yamal, so far this season, has been the most fouled player in La Liga as well, indicating how opponents are targeting the 17-year-old sensation.
With a match being played once almost every three days, it becomes important that the manager rotates his stars to minimise the threat of fatigue and subsequent injuries.
