- Chelsea beat a plucky Heidenheim side in the UEFA Conference League
- Christopher Nkunku, Filip Jorgensen and Jadon Sancho impressed
- Late red card for Cesare Casadei the only major disappointment
Chelsea secured a hard fought 2-0 away win over Bundesliga side Heidenheim to stay top of the UEFA Conference League standings on Thursday night.
Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk scored the goals, both of which came in a frantic second half with a plethora of chances at each end of the pitch, while goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen will also take significant plaudits from this one for preserving a clean sheet.
A soft second yellow card for Cesare Casadei deep in stoppage time saw Chelsea finish with ten players.
