- Switzerland will host next summer’s edition of the tournament
The qualification campaign for UEFA Women's Euro 2025 drew to a close this week and full attention can shift to next summer's showpiece event in Switzerland.
Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Wales and Portugal were the final seven teams to book their place at the tournament via the play-offs, while it was heartbreak for the likes of Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, Ukraine and Austria as they fell short at the final hurdle.
England, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Iceland, Denmark and the Netherlands all qualified at the end of the group stage over the summer, and have spent the last two international camps playing friendlies in preparation for the tournament. Switzerland automatically qualified as hosts.

The group stage draw will take place on Monday 16 December at the Swiss Tech Convention Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland and will commence at 18:00 (CET) or 17:00 (GMT).

Which teams are in the Euro 2025 draw?

---|---|---|---|
Switzerland | England | Netherlands | Finland |
Spain | Italy | Sweden | Poland |

How does the group stage draw work?
The draw will begin with pot one where each team will be drawn and placed into position one of groups A-D. It will then continue with pot two, where the first ball drawn will be assigned to group A.
In order to determine the position of that team in pot A (e.g A2, A3 or A4), a further ball will be drawn from pot A. The process will then continue with the rest of pot two until all have been assigned a group and a position.
When pot two is complete, the same will take place for pot three and four using the same procedure. The match schedule and fixtures will be confirmed by UEFA as soon as possible after the draw has taken place.
When is Euro 2025?
The provisional schedule indicates matchday one of the group stage will take place from July 2-5, with the host nation likely kicking off the tournament. Matchday two will then take place between July 6 and 9, with the third and final round of group stage fixtures to follow between July 10 and 13.
The quarter-finals will begin on July 16 and conclude three days later. The semi-finals will take place on July 22 and 23, followed by the final at St. Jakob-Park in Basel on July 27.
